See that pen to the left? It is a 30-06 cartridge with a 150 grain bullet installed. (All the lead was removed.) This particular top is a wood called purple heart hardwood. It is a twist pen with a Cross refill. The maker of that pen uses many hard woods or several different acrylics in the creation of his various pen tops. He even has a variety of camo acrylics.
Let me tell you a bit about him
Ken Ramelli is a retired heavy equipment mechanic. Not wanting to be one of those fellows who finds it difficult to remove his bottom side from the recliner or his thumb from the “clicker” he found an enterprise which allows him to cultivate his skills and artistry. Beyond that, he provides a useful tool for people fortuitous enough to discover the pens and other items he creates.
When I asked him what he does he said, “I hand craft and machine each pen or pencil in my shop. My idea for creating these cartridge pens is to remain as true to the original shell as possible. Oh yeah, and just being different from the normal pen turner.” He specializes in Cartridge Pens and Jewelry.
When you visit the store at his website, Kns Kreations you find all sorts of goodies he has kreated. These pens and the other items are also available at gun and craft shows where Ken displays in Arizona and Nevada.
These pens are beautiful to look at and impressive to hold
When I first saw an assortment of the pens Ken makes I was so impressed I immediately sought out the other Journal Guides to take them to the display. Yep, they turned out to be as galvanized by them as little ‘ole me.
We all noted what wonderful gifts these pens make, especially for the hunter or sportsman in your life. I think Joe’s eyes were a little dreamy at the prospect.
Undoubtedly we would pair one of these pens with either the Pre Season Hunters Edition or the Hunters Edition of our boxed journals. When you look through the variety of pens and other items at Kns Kreations you will think of all sorts of people, from sportsmen to bankers, from attorneys to stay-at-home moms who can use a quality hand crafted pen – for writing in their journal, of course.
We are not connected to Kns Kreations and do not receive any remuneration from Ken in any way. We just wanted to tell you about an exciting product and the creator of that product.
